Wine

Just a few days ago, Hall and I watched John Cleese’s Wine for the Confused, again, via NetFlix for Wii. It has been awhile since we watched it, and I was amazed at how well it goes over the basics of wine. It isn’t for the well knowledged or advanced wine drinkers, but for those who are not used to drinking wine, or are “confused” it does pretty well.

Anyways, watching the film got me thinking about the wines that Hall and I like to drink, and those we really don’t like at all. For the most part, we tend to like really sweet white wines, such as Rieslings, Ice Wines, Muscat and Spumants. Some red wines, like burgandy and merlots are also good, and Hall LOVES Malbecs. And the prices vary from $4 a bottle to $75 for a half bottle of Ice Wine.

So my question to everybody is: What wines do you like to drink? Feel free to list them.

Here is our list:
Verdi Spumante, $4-6
Arbor Mist Exotic Fruits White Zinfandel, $5-7
Taylor Tawny Port, $7-9
Chateau Ste. Michelle Riesling, $8-12
Chateau Ste Michelle Gewurztraminer, $8-10
Lakeridge Winery Florida Southern White, $9
San Sebastian Port, $15
San Sebastian Cream Sherry, $15
Schmitt Sohne Piesporter Michelsberg Spatlese, $12-18
Schmitt Sohne Beeren Auslese, $18-22
Sandeman 20 Year Old Tawny Port, $40-50
Inniskillin Riesling Icewine, $68-$80 (half bottle)
